Imported textile footwear in the Siberian Federal District exceeds US$300 million

According to the preliminary statistics of the customs of the Siberian Federal District of Russia, the total import and export of goods in the Siberian Federal District from January to September 2011 was US$27.816 billion, of which US$22.694 billion was exported and US$5.122 billion was imported. In January-September 2011, the trade volume between the Siberian Federal District and non-CIS countries was 25.35 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for 91.1% of the total volume of import and export trade; the volume of trade with the CIS countries was 2.466 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for 8.9%. Among the major imported goods in the Siberian Federal District, textiles and shoes accounted for 377 million U.S. dollars, accounting for 7.4%, of which 329 million U.S. dollars were imported from non-CIS countries, accounting for 87.3%, and 47.726 million U.S. dollars from the Commonwealth of Independent States, accounting for 12.7%.
