Classification and history of jade

The English name of Jade is Jade, which originated from the Spanish invaders. They named the jade that was plundered by Mexico as Piedabeijade, and jade (ijade) is the last word of the word.

The real jade has two kinds of soft and hard. Generally speaking, jade refers to nephrite, and jadeite has another popular name - jade. Nephrite is an aqueous calcium magnesium silicate with a hardness of 6.5 and excellent toughness, translucent to opaque, fibrous crystal aggregates. Jadeite is a sodium aluminosilicate with a hardness of 6.5-7, translucent to opaque, granular to fibrous aggregate, dense block. The two types of jade are similar, and the specific gravity of jadeite (3.25-3.4) is greater than that of nephrite (2.9-3.1).

Jade is a relatively noble type of ore. The ancient Chinese believed that jade was the embodiment of glory and happiness, the symbol of fortitude and kindness. Some foreign scholars also regard jade as the "national stone" of China.

China is the earliest and most extensive country in the world for the exploitation and use of jade. There are many records in the ancient books, and the names are also very mixed, such as water jade, jade, jade, jade, nephrite and so on. The tremolite soft jade jade unearthed from the Chahai site in Fuxin City, Liaoning Province, about 8,000 years ago (early Neolithic Age), is the earliest true jade known to the world so far. Legend has it that when the Yellow Emperor was divided into princes in ancient times, jade was used as a symbol of their enjoyment of power. Later, many of the emperor’s "transportation of the country" were also made of jade.

The Shang Dynasty used the jade gums to convey the king's orders. In the written Zhou Dynasty (11th century BC - 256 BC), jade was used as a tool. During the Spring And Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, the king of Zhao Guo got a very precious jade "He Shi". After Qin Wang knew it, he promised to exchange fifteen cities. Although it was only a conspiracy to be seen, it was also the value of Baoyu at that time.
