Armed with this kit, I spent an afternoon in my basement laundry room experimenting with indigo. Let me tell you, it was pure magic! I used the folding and clamping method on a couple of bandanas, creating intricate patterns that reminded me of snowflakes—each piece entirely unique. I also tried the pole-wrapping technique on another bandana, which I might repurpose into something else, like the front yoke of a dress or even a small cosmetic case.
One of the highlights for me was the stitch-resist technique. Starting in January 2016, these tutorials will guide viewers through the basics of natural dyeing.
