The western Iranian city Kermanshah opened the largest industrial textiles production plant in the Middle East.
The factory's annual production capacity is 15,000 tons of industrial textiles, including polyester, conveyor belts, industrial linings, tire lines, worth about 100 million US dollars.
Iran’s current demand is 4.5-5 million tons/year and the production of this factory will be able to meet about 33% of Iran’s demand.
The completion of the new factory will create 250 new direct jobs, which may increase to 350 in the future and 2,000 indirect jobs.
