Silk has long been a symbol of the East's ancient and vibrant civilization. It not only reflects the glory of China's enduring cultural legacy but also played a vital role in advancing human civilization globally. Suzhou, known as a city where embroidery and silk are deeply rooted, is a place of elegance and richness, with silk forming its very identity.
Historically, the silk industry in Suzhou was once a source of pride, but over time, it evolved by embracing innovation. In recent years, companies like Rui Fuxiang have focused on improving core production technologies, integrating advanced equipment, and building strong brand identities. By combining traditional craftsmanship with modern creativity, they have brought silk from the realm of luxury into everyday life, making it more accessible and relevant.
The four-day exhibition, "Paradise on Earth • Oriental Silk Rhyme," held at the Suzhou Pavilion, provided an international platform for this iconic craft. It helped position silk embroidery as a true emblem of Suzhou, enhancing its reputation as a cultural and commercial hub. Through such events, Suzhou continues to celebrate its heritage while paving the way for future growth.
