On the morning of August 6, 2010, the Suzhou Pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo hosted a special event titled "Rite on Earth • Oriental Silk Rhyme" – a silk-themed exhibition featuring Rui Fuxiang Silk. The event also included the Suzhou Rui Fuxiang "Lanzi Embroidery" Women's Conference. Attendees included high-profile figures such as Ms. Zhou Xiangqun, a member of the Suzhou Municipal Committee and head of the United Front Work Department; Ms. Yu Bing, president of the Jiangsu Clothing Association; Ms. Xie Jianhong, president of the Suzhou Women’s Federation; Mr. Gu Xiaowen, secretary-general of the Jianghu Garment Association; Mr. Wang Xiangyuan, a member of the Jinyu District Committee and head of the Propaganda Department; and Ms. Qi Qiulan, chairman of Fuxiang Silk Co., Ltd.
The event was a celebration of silk, an emblem of the East’s rich and ancient civilization.
